Mr. David Michael (Mike) Hallford age 65, of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at his residence. The family will greet friends at Logos Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon and a celebration of life service will follow at 3:00 pm. Logos Baptist Church.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Carl Hallford, his mother, Frances Hallford, his son, Davis Hallford, his mother in law, Doris Davis and his father in law, Rufus Davis. He leaves behind his wife, Camille Hallford, sister, Beth Collins (David), brother, Doug Hallford (Betsy), sister, Stephanie Anderson (David), sister in law, Marilyn Holland (Ken) and brother in law, Rufus Davis III (Carmie), stepmother, Virginia Hallford, numerous nieces and nephews and several life-long friends. His life was a love story with his wife, Camille. Their love for each other was unconditional fostering a life of adventure through joy and sadness. He loved family, children, his dogs and the Crimson Tide. A constant, loving companion during the early years of their marriage, through the blessed years with Davis and through the worst years when Davis was no longer with them.
After Davis’ death, they cried a lot, but they cried holding each other. The next few years they were lost, but they were lost together. Without each other’s love and support, they would not have made it through this devastating time. Together with love, they have become stronger. No matter what life had in store for them, they loved each other like there was no tomorrow. And their love will continue as it has in the past and present…and on into the future. He loved spending time with family, his golfing buddies, the Rebels, his beach-loving friends from Panama City and the friends that gathered regularly to discuss football, politics and life in general.
Mike was a CPA by training, graduating from the University of Alabama with his Masters. He retired from Flowers Hospital as the Vice President of Finance and continued his career as the Chief Financial Officer of DSI. Mike loved his career and was known as a loyal and devoted employee who valued his co-workers. In lieu of flowers, the family request that may be made to Logos Baptist Church, 736 S Shady Lane, Dothan, AL 36301 or Save A Pet, PO Box 9123, Dothan, AL 36304 or Covenant Hospice, 2855 Ross Clark Circle Suite 110, Dothan, AL 36301.
