Mr. Delmar Paulk, 91, of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Southeast Health.
He was born in Ariton, Alabama on December 9, 1927 to the late Rassie and Sallie Paulk. He was a faithful member of Winslette Chapel United Methodist Church. After graduating from DHS, Delmar served in the US Army during WWII and the Korean War. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, fishing, and was an avid reader.
Delmar was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Betty Killingsworth. Delmar founded Delmar Paulk Construction in 1954 which he operated until his retirement in 2007.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, and son-in-law, Monty Gibson of Dothan.
Survivors include his son Charles Paulk; daughter Becky Gibson; 4 grandchildren; Charlie and Davis Paulk, Bud Gibson, and Victoria Galloway; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Memory Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Charlie Paulk, Davis Paulk, Bud Gibson, Craig Pearce, Rodney Hendrix and David Capps.
