OZARK…Mr. Dillard Beaty, a resident of Ozark, transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home, Friday morning, October 1, 2021. He was 74.
Homegoing services will be graveside at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 8, 2021, in Traveler’s Rest Cemetery with Reverend Fred Flowers officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Beaty, son of the late Eissie James Beaty and Annie Mae McCray Beaty, was a native of Ozark. He was retired from Golden Peanut in Ozark. Mr. Beaty was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. He was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Mack Thomas and Dillard Ray Beaty; step-son, Larry March.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Lillie Mae Johnson Beaty, Ozark; two daughters, Brendel Adams, Stockbridge, GA and Laura Lashae Beaty, Enterprise; a son, Paul Anthony Beaty, Birmingham; step-children, Michelle Gissendanner (Eddie), Ozark, Sofia Savoy (Johnny), Tuscaloosa and Kimberly Walton (Antonio), Ozark; sister, Eilene Kee, San Antonio, TX; brother, J.W.C. Beaty, Lakeland, FL; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and eleven step-great grandchildren.
