Donald Robert Frane, Sr., a resident of Headland died Monday, September 23, 2013 at his residence. He was 81.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Frane was born June 5, 1932 in Marietta, Pennsylvania. He located to Headland and worked for Custom Componets and Chapman Homes as a truss builder and later retired from Dothan Portable Buildings. Mr. Frane loved working with wood and model railroads.

Mr. Frane is preceded in death by his wife, Sarandra Frane.

Survivors include six sons, Michael Sauble (Rachel), Columbia, PA, Mark Sauble (Dawn), Dothan, Keith Frane (Amanda), Headland, Steve Frane (Diane), Manchester, PA, Donald Frane, Jr., Manchester, PA, Scott Frane (Reba), Dothan; ten grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Frane, Lititz, PA and Cheryl Kurtz, Columbia, PA.
