Mr. Donald Lee Cobb, age 87, of Webb, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023.


Born January 10, 1936 to the late Kermit Lee Cobb and Johnnie Mae Holmes Cobb, Donald served his country in the United States Army serving 2 years active duty and 2 years in the Army Reserves. A member of Faith Baptist Church since 1985, Donald was a deacon for many years. An outdoorsman when he was younger, he enjoyed camping and fishing. His hobbies changed as he got older and he became a steel guitar player and enjoyed singing and playing with several local bands. He retired as an automotive mechanic and continued to enjoy working on engines after his retirement.


Donald is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Bill Cobb.


He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margie Cobb; his sister, Linda Nimmons (Rey); and his sister-in-law, Betty Cobb. He was loved and will be missed by his special nieces and nephews, Rex Starling (Liz), Sheila Merritt (Dale), Mike Hall (Tami), Stephanie Guice, Sherri Wiggins (Hasty), Darrin Cobb (Tonya), Denise Tadduni (Chris), and Karen Schmidt (Dan); great-nieces and nephews, Lee, Brett, and Brittany Starling; Brad Cantu; Dani and Tyler Guice; Casey Merritt (Ashley) and Bethany Merritt; Gavin Hall (Reilly); Grace Wiggins and Walker Wiggins; Brianna Hollingsworth; Brandon Cobb; Ava, Kayla, and Sophia Tadduni; Jo, Lilly and Cameron Schmidt; and many numerous friends.


Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church with Brother Scottie Hatcher officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Midland City with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM, prior to the service at the church.


The family would like to extend a special thank you to Malekae Walker, Olivia Starling, and Sonia Hughes of DaySpring Hospice.
