Mr. Donald Lee Ward of Ashford passed away Monday, October 15, 2012, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 69.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 20, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Delbert Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, October 19, 2012. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mr. Ward was employed with Masters Insulation for 25 years. He was a wonderful father and grandfather and loved his family very much. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Donovine Ward and Mabel Irene Cantrell Ward, sister-in-law, Dot Land, and a special nephew, Peyton Ingram.

 

Survivors include his wife, Linda Ward of Ashford; daughter, Donna Bond and her husband, Steve of Webb; son, Nicholas Ward and his wife, Melissa of Ashford; sisters, Frances Thorpe and her husband, Doug of Milton, FL; Ruthie Ingram and her husband, Steve of Pensacola, FL; brothers, Bobby Land of Pensacola, FL; Louie Ward and his wife, Sue of Liverpool, TX; grandchildren, Steven, Madalyn, and Christopher Bond, sister-in-law, Wanda Strickland of Navarre, FL; several nieces, nephews, and may special friends.
