OZARK… Mr. Doug Johnson, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday morning, August 25, 2021, in Dale Medical Center. He was 73.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 29, 2021, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ruby Nell Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.


            Mr. Johnson, son of the late Clarence Johnson and Gussie Irene Boswell Johnson, was a native of Elba and moved to Ozark at an early age. In earlier years, he was employed with Asplundh Industries and Burford Tree Service. Mr. Johnson formerly owned and operated AAA Tree Service in Ozark and currently owned and operated a demolition business. He attended Victory Tabernacle Church in New Brockton. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Kitty Cole Johnson; siblings, Lily Sasser, Nell Bowman, Lonnie Mae Johnson, Shirley Hyatt, Jean Jones, Mary Kilbourne, and Vivian Parks.


            Surviving relatives include his children, Terry Douglas Johnson, Rehobeth, Michelle Daniel, Enterprise, Britney Gosselin, Scottsburg, Indiana and Trevor Johnson, Sellersburg, Indiana; brother, Tommy Johnson (Susie), Cottonwood; sisters, Lillian Cox and Pat Austin, both of River Grove, Illinois and Johnnie Mae Reisner (Gary), Newnan, Georgia; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and one on the way.
