Mr. Earl L. Carr of Bonifay, FL passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at his residence. He was 81.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday, April 11, 2015. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice.
Mr. Carl Carr was born June 8, 1933 in Center Barnstead, N.H. to Vida Theresa Littlefield and Fred Murray Carr. He served 4 years in the Army as an MP at Ft. Rucker, AL before enlisting in the Air Force where he served 20 years before retiring in June of 1973. After retiring, this Veteran moved to Midland City, AL. where he built his home with then wife, Juanita Carr and 3 children, Teresa Carr Taylor, Dennis K. Carr and Freida B. Helms.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Juanita Carr, and a brother Glen Carr.
Mr. Carr is survived by his wife Lillie of Bonifay, FL; children Teresa Carr Taylor of Dothan; Freida B. Helms (David) of Cottonwood; Evelyn Pheonix of Bonifay, FL; Dennis K. Carr of Dothan; Billy Meyers (Retha) of Bonifay, FL; Robert Meyers of Bonifay, FL; brothers Warren Carr (Edna) of Rochester, N.H.; George (Bud) Carr of Pittsfield, N.H.; grandchildren Crystal J. Helms, Heather M. Helms, Mystie M. Gregory, Sylvia McAdams, great-grandchildren Justin Meyers, Cole Murchison, Wade Murchison, several nieces and nephews, and close personal friends of the family Rickey and Sherry Ballard.
