James Edward “Eddie” Fountain, 56, of Dothan, Al, died Thursday July 12, 2012 surrounded by his family.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Webb Cemetery with Reverend Marcus Murdock officiating. Burial will be in the Webb Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a. m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the funeral home prior to departing to the cemetery.
Born in Houston County Alabama, Eddie was a son of Montez Livingston Fountain and the late William Edward Fountain. He was also preceeded in death by his grandmother “Little MaMa” and His nephew Shawn Buie. He was a graduate of Houston County High School and worked as police officer with the Midland City Police Department, and owned and operated Jef’s Wrecker Service prior to his retirement and is a member of Center Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ashley & Marty Johnson, Dothan, AL; a sister, Sharron Buie, Dothan, AL; He was known as “Pops” to his two grandchildren, Brody Johnson and Harley Ward both of Dothan, AL; a very special niece and her fiancée, Shana K. Snell and Bill Lisenby both of Dothan, AL; aunt, Gladys Flowers, Dothan, AL; two nephews, Kyle Snell, Columbia, AL and Kaleb Snell, Slocomb, AL
