Mr. Eugene Wilson Sullivan, age 95, of Ozark, Alabama, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024.

Funeral Services for Mr. Sullivan will be held 3:00 pm Monday, January 29, 2024, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Ozark with Reverend Michael Lawler officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 2:00 pm until service time.

Mr. Sullivan was known to family and friends as “Papa.” He was born to Dixie and Lillie Mae Sullivan in Dale County, Alabama on September 2, 1928.    After working for several construction companies, he began his own business known as “Sullivan Custom Builder.” He and his three sons built many houses throughout Dale County that still stand today. He was dedicated to his family, and his home was the place where they all gathered for holidays and for Sunday lunch. He was a devout Christian attending Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church throughout his life. Mr. Sullivan and his sons constructed the fellowship hall along with many other features in the Church. He was well respected in the community and loved by many. He will be sadly missed, but his memory will be in their hearts forever.
