Mr. Frank Mickey Wallace, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at his residence. He was 74 years old.
Funeral services for Mr. Wallace will be 11:00 A.M. (CDST) Friday, April 16, 2021, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Fred Bacher officiating. Interment will be 2:00 P.M. (CDST) in Olive Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (Rock Pond), Iron City, Georgia, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P.M. Flowers will be accepted.
Mr. Wallace was born in Dale County, Alabama to the late Lewie Frank Wallace and Delma Inez Blocker Wallace. Mickey graduated from Dale County High School in 1965. He worked as a helicopter mechanic for 34 years at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Mr. Wallace served two terms on the Newton Town Council and served as Mayor. Mickey was always full of joy and laughter. He was an avid Alabama “Roll Tide” fan. He attended Dothan Country Fellowship Church and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Harris and one brother, Charles Wallace.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Linda K. Miller Wallace of Dothan; children, Angela D. Wilson of Orlando, Florida and Shane W. Wilson and his partner, Bill Swigert, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers, David Wallace (Regina) of Newton and Glenn Wallace of Hartford; and one sister-in-law, Jean Wallace of Newton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
