Garry Mack Dillard, a resident of Pansey, Alabama passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Extendicare health and Rehab. He was 66.
Funeral Services will be held at 2PM Friday, May 3, 2024, in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with brother Bimbo Turner officiating. Interment will be immediately following the service in Ashford City Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6PM to 8PM Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Garry was born to the late James and Lavada Nichols Dillard on February 14, 1958, in Dothan, Alabama. Garry was a lifelong row crop farmer in the wiregrass area. His father established Dillard Farms and Garry along with his two late brothers continued in their father’s footsteps.
Garry was very outgoing. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, riding his Harley and spending precious time with his family. Garry was a loving husband to his precious wife Tina Cribbs Dillard for thirty-two years. As a loving father, grandfather, and brother he thrived on making sure his family always came first. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Ashley Dillard; two brothers, Kenneth and Roger Dillard; a sister, Annette Watkins.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife; a son; Todd Norris (April); three daughters, Brandy Dillard (Kasey Goodrich), Tonya Dodson, and Scarlett Duffie (Skip); four sisters, Rhonda Conrad, Evelyn Cox (Phil), Sue Harden (Robert), and Laurada Ellison (Danny); six grandchildren, Taylor Scott, Brodie Alexander, Brayden Alexander, Adalyn Norris, Jackson Norris, and Jack Duffie; along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
