Mr. Gary J. Flanagan, Sr. of Malvern passed away Monday, August 13 2012 at Flowers Hospital.  He was 64.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Geneva with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Geneva Fire Department or the Veterans of Foreign War. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. 

He was born on October 3, 1947 in New Jersey to the late John C. and Marin M. Roselle Flanagan. 

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a sister, Gail Danley.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Mary E. Flanagan of Malvern; children:  Gary J. Flanagan, Jr. (Amber) Flanagan of Geneva, Christina M. Flanagan of Malvern; sister:  Marilyn Tolska of Farmingdale, NJ; five grandchildren:  Zachary Laoye and Carly Rose Laoye of Malvern, James Daniel Paul, Avery William Paul and Dylan Michael Flanagan all of Geneva; several nieces and nephews.
