Gilbert Hall passed way in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Southeast Medical Center. He was 77 years old. 

 

Mr. Hall was born and lived most of his life in the Dothan area.  After graduating high school, he served a tour in the USAF before enjoying a lengthy career with the US Postal Service.  His treasure was his family, each and every member dear to his heart.  He will be greatly missed; but leaves behind an abundance of treasured memories, along with the blessed assurance of seeing him again.

 

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Vanara, his daughter, Teresa ( Keith) Stevens of Dothan, his sons, Dino (Debra) Hall of Dothan and Dr. Randy (Kim) Hall of Dothan; grandchildren, Jeremy (Amanda) Stevens, Jonathan (Cendi) Stevens, Joshua (Chelsea) Stevens, Heather (Cade) Wells, Garrett (Samantha) Hall, Ranleigh and Bailey Hall; great-grandchildren, Eisleigh, Vada, Zoe, Kennedy, Kolbi, Paisley, Ella Rei, Anna Kate and Gracie Claire.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Friday, September 4, 2015 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmy McNeil officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service time.

 

Family will be accepting fIowers or contributions in Gilbert’s memory may be made to Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1720 2^nd Ave South, Birmingham, AL 35294.
