Mr. Grover Harrison of Samson passed away at his resident on Saturday, March 10, 2012 surrounded by his loving family and many close friends.  He was 76.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Piney Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Mike Medley, Rev. Donnie Earles and Rev. Elbert Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

 Mr. Harrison was born in Geneva County, AL on September 21, 1935 to the late Arcola and Callie Kelley Harrison.  He was a farmer for many years and loved everything to do with the outdoors.

 He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Harrison; daughter, Donna Kirkpatrick  and husband, Lewis; three grandchildren, Lewis Calib Kirkpatrick, Callie Michelle Kirkpatrick and Benjamin Harrison Kirkpatrick, all of Samson.
