OZARK…Mr. Harold E. Colwell, a resident of Ozark, died late Friday evening, November 19, 2021, at his home. He was 100.
Graveside services, with military honors, were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 22, 2021, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Mr. Bo Deloney officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Colwell, son of the late John L. Colwell and Clara Leibnitz Colwell, was a native of Tuscola, Illinois and moved to Ozark in 1986. He was retired from the United States Postal Service as a Rural Letter Carrier after twenty-five years of employment. Mr. Colwell was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner, and a member of the Scottish Rite. Mr. Colwell was preceded in death by his wife, Millie Mallard Colwell; a brother and sister.
Surviving relatives include a niece, Linda Simpkins (Mike), Peoria, Illinois; caretakers, Terry and Sandra Chancey; friends, Donna Grantham (Chuck) and Greg Chancey (Cindy), all of Ozark.
