Harvey Cue Parrish, Jr., 76, of Dothan succumbed to his long term illness surrounded by his loving family on October 30, 2018.


Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Alan Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Salvation Army for Hurricane Michael Relief.


Harvey is survived by his wife Rebecca “Becky” of 47 years, four children Cynthia Hashem (Daniel Hashem), Tina Price (Douglas Price), Patrick Parrish, I and Terry Parrish, grandchildren Jeremiah D. Wood I, Patrick A. Parrish II, Brett Hashem, Kristin Randolf, Trevor Parrish, Taylor Robinson, and Kiefer Parrish, great-grandchildren Jeremiah D. Wood II, Grayson Wood, Milee Robinson, Addalynn Robinson, Patrick A. Parrish III, and Landon Randolf, sister Judy Crawford (Gerald Crawford), and brother Harry Parrish (Sue Parrish), and many nieces and nephews, along with a loving extended family and loving friends.


He is preceded in death by his parents Harvey Cue Parrish, Sr. and Ester Eufoker Bodiford-Parrish and sisters Johnie Dillard, Margret Dykes, Margie York and Jeanette Collins.


Harvey loved college football, his favorite football team being the Alabama Crimson Tide. He had a tremendous love for music and was a member in several rock & roll bands, including playing with Bobby Goldsburg in his early days.


Harvey was a hard worker all of his life showing great ambition and huge life goals. Starting at only 4 years old, helping his father in the family auto body business. By 7 years old he was a self-made entrepreneur starting his first business selling boiled peanuts at Newberrys and Kress 5 & 10. Following with selling concessions for Dothan’s own Minor Baseball League at what is now known as Wiregrass Park. He continued his employment as a teen in Dothan and Albany, GA. As an adult, he owned his own contracting and floor covering business along with other business adventures, from resturants to commercial floor covering stores. This business experience led him to have 42 plus successful years in real estate investments in four different states.


Harvey has been a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church for the past 36 years. He loved his church family and enjoyed his Sunday School Class.
