OZARK…. Mr. Howard Johnson, a resident of Ozark, died early Friday afternoon, February 5, 2021 at his home. He was 71.
In keeping with the wishes of Howard, there are no public services planned at this time. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson, son of the late Paul Leslie Johnson and Elma Ree Akridge Johnson, was a native and lifelong resident of Ozark. He was a 1968 Graduate of Carroll High School and was retired from Civil Service at Fort Rucker. Howard was known around Ozark for his “special barbecue sauce” and Boston butts and ribs. He was a member of the Ozark Primitive Baptist Church. Howard was preceded in death by his brother, Henderson Franklin Johnson, II.
Surviving relatives include his sister-in-law, Gina Johnson, Skipperville; two nephews, Paul Waco Johnson (Mandi) and Henderson Franklin “Bo” Johnson, III (Megan), Skipperville; numerous cousins also survive.
