Mr. Jack Alden Zornes, Jr., a resident of Daleville, died Thursday, October 10, 2024. He was 75 years old.
Funeral services for Mr. Zornes will be graveside 1:00 P. M. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Paul Alexander officiating. Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Mr. Zornes was born August 25, 1949 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Jack Alden Zornes, Sr. and Mary Alice Wallace Zornes. His family moved to Ozark when he was young. He graduated from Daleville High School in 1968 after which he served in the United States Navy for four years. He worked with Civil Service as an Electronics Technician until his retirement. He was an avid collector of World War II memorabilia and loved researching his family genealogy. He enjoyed caring for his several cats.
Mr. Zornes is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Jennifer Zornes; one nephew, Levi Zornes all of Level Plains; and one aunt, Nancy Garrett who lives near Roanoke, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
