James Allen Hill, Sr., age 76, of Dothan, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on June 15, 2024.

Born April 6, 1948 in Cleveland, TN to the late Charles O. Hill and Mary Violet Helton, James proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years before retiring, displaying an unwavering commitment to our nation.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his son, Margaret Ann Hill and his wife, Marjorie Hill.

Survivors include his son, James Hill, II (Kimberly); his granddaughter, Chloe Ann Hill; his siblings, Alice Wright, Tony Hill and Michael Hill; and his nieces and nephews, Christy Hughes, Lee Wright, Bill Hill, Tony Hill, Jr., Michael Hill, Joey Hill and Spencer Hill.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 10 AM from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug Seale officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM, Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
