OZARK… It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband and father, James “Jimmy” Graham, who left us on Friday August 29, 2024, at the age of 90. He was surrounded by his loving family at Dale Medical Center in Ozark.
He was a man with immense wisdom and work ethic. He loved God, his family, and his country. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. Monday, September 2, 2024, at Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Hill and Reverend James Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 94, Ozark, Alabama.
Mr. Graham was a native of Elmore County and had lived in Ozark since 1963. He served in the United States Navy Reserves. In earlier years, Mr. Graham worked for Standard Roofing from 1955 until 1965. He later started striping parking lots, city streets, and county roads. In 1968, Ozark Striping Company became incorporated, and he owned and operated the company until it sold it 1993. He remained a consultant for the next eight years before retiring.
Mr. Graham served two terms on the Board of Directors for Pea River Electric and two terms on the Board of Directors for SouthTrust Bank. He was a long-time member of the Alabama Road Builders Association. Mr. Graham was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include his beloved wife, Anna Ragan Graham; three daughters, Beth Jacobs (Larry), Lee Ellen Farmer (Tommy), and Alisa Graham; his son, Chip Graham (Sandrel); six grandchildren, Shay Bierly, T.J. Farmer (Erica), Heath Farmer (Emily), Allie Silavent (Robert), Justin Jacobs, and Bryson Graham; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; many close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Allie Graham; sister, Dorothy Graham, and two grandchildren, Libby and Lynn Farmer.
