James Edwin Love, of Ashford, passed away June 3, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on January 9, 1953, in Moody Hospital to the late James M. “Rooster” Love and Daisy Mae Tindell Love, James, was a devoted husband to his wife, Debra Love. Together, they built a life filled with joy and laughter, a home that was always a haven for their children. He was a proud father to his sons, Chris (and wife Becky) Love, Daniel (and wife Christina) Love, Tim Love, and his daughter, Reia Martin. The light of his life shone brightest when he was surrounded by his grandchildren, Brycen Owen Love, Parker Love, Chase McCorkel, Justin Martin, and Spencer Martin, whose adventures and achievements filled him with immense pride.

James had a passion for the outdoors, sharing memorable moments with his grandson Brycen and cheering enthusiastically at Parker's ball games. His love for the simple joys of life could be seen in him working with his cows, it was a reflection of his connection to nature.

Funeral services for James will be held at 12 PM, Friday, June 7, 2024 at Love Hill Assembly of God Church with Pastor Cory Solomon officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 12 PM, prior to the service at the church.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Lanis Love, Pete Love, Caden Love, Chase McCorkel, Tristan Sanders, and Kenny Moore.
