Mr. James Huey Johnson of Dothan passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Flowers Hospital. He was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harrison Steege and Rev. Hughvon King officiating. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Johnson was born on December 22, 1934 in Coffee County to the late Monroe and Margaret Johnson. He was a member of the Tumbleton Community Pentecostal Church.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Verna Mae Johnson and one son and daughter-in-law: Kim and Vicki Johnson preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: James and Linda Johnson of Headland, Tim and Melissa Johnson of Dothan; seven grandchildren: Darleen (Gary) Gibson, Leslie (Jason) Broxton, James Ronald Johnson, Jr., Donna Danielle (Jason) Justice, Kimberly (Brian) Snell, Clay Johnson and Jennifer Reynolds; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
