James Rudolph Morrison, age 78, a resident of Texasville, Alabama, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Glover Funeral Home in Clayton, Alabama with Reverend Luke Westbrook officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing. Burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton, Alabama. A visitation will be held for Mr. Morrison one hour prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted.
Rudolph was born June 4, 1943, the son of the late J.C. Morrison and Callie Irene Bullard Morrison. He grew up and remained in Texasville, Alabama all of his life. He loved working his land and enjoyed the simple life. Rudolph loved and enjoyed helping people any way that he could. Hard work was most important to him but in his spare time he really enjoyed fishing and it was a big part of his life. Rudolph was a graduate of Blue Springs High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for Alabama Power and Mead Westvaco. Above all his accomplishments in life, his family and the love for them was most important.
Rudolph was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Alice Faye Starling Morrison; two brothers, Thomas Ralph Morrison and Mack Donald Westbrook.
Left to cherish his memories are two sons, James Morrison (Kristi) of Midway, Alabama and John Morrison of Louisville, Alabama; three sisters, Francis Robinson of Upton, California, Katherine Pettus of Fort Deposit, Alabama, and Elizabeth McGilvary (Fred) of Clayton, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
Asked to serve as pallbearers are Calen Battles, Casey Bell, Lee Defee, Dickie McCraney, Scott Moss, and Bill Nolin.
