Mr. James Willie Pippin of Dothan died Sunday, February 5, 2012, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 80.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Midland City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. The family will be gathered at the home of Mr. Pippin’s niece, Cindy Robinson, 448 Oppert Rd. Dothan, Al. Flowers will be accepted.
Mr. Pippin was born July 17, 1931, in Dale County Alabama, the son of the late James S. Pippin and Effie Daniel Pippin. He was employed by Felts Trailer Company for several years and worked at Southern Coaches until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ethel Pippin, sister, Lucille Parramore, two brothers, Ray and Jack Pippin, and a brother-in-law, Levy Parramore.
Survivors include sister, Lila (Tony) Marshall of Taylor; nephews, Timmy Marshall of Taylor; Steve Marshall of Webb; nieces, Cindy (Ray) Robinson of Dothan; Sandra Marshall of Donalsonville, GA; great-nieces, PFC Emily Robinson of Jacksonville, NC;
Whitney (Byron) McWaters of Woodbridge, VA; Alexis Stewart of Taylor; Devan Marshall of Webb; great-nephews, Buck Robinson of Dothan; Aidan Marshall of Webb; Lake Strickland of Donalsonville, GA; and one great-great-niece, Brooklynn McWaters of Woodbridge, Va.
Pallbearers will be Tray Strickland, Timmy Marshall, Steve Marshall, Ray Robinson, Wayne Eldridge, and Dustin Monday.
