Mr. Jerry Franklin Seay of Dothan, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, at Flowers Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 84.
The family will be receiving friends Monday, January 29, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Glover Funeral Home. A private family graveside will follow at New Hinson Baptist Church Cemetery near Fadette with Pastor Troy West officiating and Kendall Glover directing.
Jerry was born January 4, 1934, in Geneva County to the late Charles Jackson (Jack) Seay and Ida Blanche Bass Seay. He was a 1952 graduate of Slocomb High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 until 1956. He was a supervisor in management with Hayes International and PEMCO Aeroplex for 40 years prior to retirement.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, and two nephews, James C. (Jim) Sutherland and Kenyon Seay.
Survivors include his sister, Jeanette Seay Sutherland, Dothan; brother, Jimmy Seay (Shirley); nieces, MaryAnn Williams of Dothan, Helen Walworth (Billy) of Columbia, Kelly Seay White (Paul) of Dothan; nephews Robin Skinner (Olga) of Cottonwood, Kerry Seay (Teresa) of Panama City Beach, FL; numerous great nieces and nephews; and an uncle, David S. Bass of Kinsey.
Pallbearers will be Paul White, Robin Skinner, Kerry Seay, Billy Walworth, Joe Earl Rogers and Max Knight.
