Mr. Elliot James “Jim” Regan, 72, of Eunola, Alabama, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016. He had retired to Eunola in 2004, with his wife, Linda, who survives him. They were married 49 years.
Mr. Regan was born December 23, 1943, in Manchester, New Hampshire; the first child of the late Raymond E. Regan and Irene (Boynton) Regan Platek.
As a young man, he drove a taxi in the Miami, Florida area, where he met his wife. They returned to New Hampshire in 1967, where he worked at the NH State Hospital for 17 years. Mr. Regan then worked for The Torrington Company in Connecticut, retiring in 2000.
Mr. Regan was also preceded in death by two brothers. He is survived by a sister and a brother who live in New England, plus several cousins, nieces and nephews, and two special great nieces.
Jim was a kind and generous man. He loved to laugh and tell jokes and stories. He loved to play backgammon and cribbage and he enjoyed building his model railroad and town. He was a real movie buff and could recount the names of the actors and date of just about any movie ever made! Jim and Linda also enjoyed camping and traveling in their RV. He had been to 47 states. Jim had many good friends and loved ones that will miss him.
There will be no services. Donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice. Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva is in charge of arrangements.
