OZARK…Jimmy Malloy Rogers passed away on December 25th, 2021, in Ozark, Alabama. He was 79.
Due to Covid-19, there will be no services. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Jimmy was born and grew up in Malone, Florida, and later attended the University of Florida, where he completed his pharmacy degree and became a Registered Pharmacist. He began is pharmacy career at Watson Drugs in Marianna, Florida, and later moved to Ozark, Alabama, in 1968. He worked at Center Drug for many years before becoming the owner in 1988. He enjoyed his work and the drug store customers before retiring in 2013. Jimmy was previously a member of the First United Methodist Church and active in the March of Dimes and Jaycees. He loved Florida Gators’ sports, growing a garden, a fresh cup of coffee, and IHOP pancakes with blueberry syrup.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Tipton Rogers (1994).
He is survived by his daughters: Tami J. Rogers (Cindy), and Kathy Rogers Cochran (Jordon), and two grandchildren Joshua and Katelyn.
