J.L.'s early years in Alabama were the foundation of a life characterized by dedication and service. He graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1965. He started working at Hayes International in 1965 as an aircraft mechanic. In 1969, he chose to join the Navy as an aircraft mechanic, where he was stationed stateside. After his service, he returned to work at Hayes International. For 47 remarkable years, J.L. was a respected employee at Hayes International/Pemco, where his expertise and leadership were invaluable. J.L.'s work ethic was matched only by his love for his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Parker, who stood by him as a partner in every aspect of life's journey. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including daughters Virginia Lavery (James) and Donna Farmer, and sons Jeffrey and Terry Parker. JL's joy was multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, C.J. Shell, Shane Thompson, Hailey Farmer, and Christian Farmer and his fur baby Willie.
As we lay J.L. Parker to rest, we celebrate a life well-lived and honor a man who was truly the embodiment of love and generosity. His presence will be sorely missed, but his memory will forever be a guiding light to his family, friends, and the many lives he touched.
