Mr. Joe Carnell, age 85, of Ozark, passed away at home on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
At the request of Mr. Carnell there will be no services held. However, condolences may be expressed at www.HolmanFuneralHome.com Arrangements are entrusted to Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark.
Mr. Carnell was born April 28, 1935 in Holland, Missouri to the late Gertrude Violet Gentry Carnell and the late John Herman Carnell. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Carnell lived in Ozark for 41 years. A machinist by trade, Joe enjoyed tinkering and inventing new things. He also enjoyed setting up at festivals for several years where he made some of the best lemonade and boiled peanuts. Joe loved meeting new people and talking with them. He was a member of Campground Baptist Church in Ozark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lou Proffer; and two brothers, James Carnell and Robert Carnell.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Angela Jo McNabb and son-in-law, Francisco McNabb of Ozark; two grandsons, Joseph McNabb of Ozark and Taran McNabb of Southside, Alabama; one sister, Connie Phillips; two brothers, Herman Carnell, Jr. and Dennis Carnell and his wife, Betty all of Missouri; one sister-in-law, Barbara Carnell. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Logan Road Baptist Church, 3955 Will Logan Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
