Joe Wallace Curry, a resident of Dothan, Alabama died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 73.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Dr. Ricky Plummer officiating. Burial will be immediately following the service in Memory Hill Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 3257 E. Cottonwood Rd, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
Born to the late J.W. and Vivian Martin Curry on November 6, 1948. He was retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Company. Joe loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church for many years. After retirement, his joy was spending precious time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William Vaiden “Pete” Curry and James Dickey Curry.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife of forty eight years, Patricia Wilson Curry; two sons, Wilson Staples (Cindy), and Jim Staples (Lisa); two daughters, Beth Curry Moseley (Dendy), and Laurie Curry Munoz (Bryan); nine grandchildren, Wil Staples (Julye), Amanda Staples, Caroline Staples, Alison Staples, Jay Staples, Emma Munoz, Lucy Munoz, Adam Munoz, and Camden Moseley; one great granddaughter, Sarah Sanchez; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
