CRESTVIEW, FL…. Mr. John “J.C.” Bryant, a resident of Crestview, Florida (formerly of Ozark), died Friday afternoon, December 6, 2019 in Crestview. He was 83.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 8, 2019, in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel with his nephew, Bro. Kip Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Skipperville Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
Mr. Bryant, son of the late James William Bryant and Audrey Lee Cordle Bryant, was a native of Enterprise, Alabama. He lived in Atlanta, Georgia for a number of years where he was a brick mason and was the foreman for the building of the Atlanta/Fulton County Stadium. Following his retirement, he was a truck driver for Kyla, Inc. a postal subcontractor carrying mail to St. Louis, MO. Mr. Bryant moved to Crestview, Florida in 2014. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jewell Davis.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Rebecca Hughes Bryant, Crestview, FL; two daughters, Pamela Bryant Swartz (Wayne), Baker, FL. And Theresa Bryant Wallace, Panama City Beach, FL; his son, John William Bryant, Acworth, GA; brother, Robert Floyd Bryant (Deb), Lowell, MI; three grandchildren, Paul Lee York, Amanda Dianne York, and Andrew James York (Mallorie); six great-grandchildren, Tyler Clark, Riley York, Bailey York, Teagan York, Hunter James York-Clark, and Easton James York; sister-in-law, Betty Malone (Al), Trinity, FL; several nieces and nephews.
