Mr. Johnny Oliver Hand, Sr., age 62, a resident of Dothan died late Monday October 27, 2014 at his residence.


Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sam White officiating and Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.


Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel Saturday prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL. 36303 or one’s favorite charity.


Mr. Hand was born on November 21, 1951 in Dothan, the son of Carl Will Hand and Callie Welch Hand.  He was a Welder in the Nuclear Plant industry and was employed with Union Local 52 in Montgomery, AL and had been a resident of Houston County for 52 years.  He also lived in Mississippi from 1983-1993.


He was preceded in death by his Father, Carl Will Hand; and brother, Jerry Carl Hand.


Survivors include: Mother, Callie Frances Welch Hand, Dothan; 4 sons, Johnny Oliver Hand “Bo”, Jr. Soso, MS, Johnny Shane Hand, Hattiesburg, MS, Bryan Keith Hand, Bay Springs, MS, Stephen Carl Hand, Louin, MS; daughter, Kimberly Sharee Hayes, Bay Springs, MS; 5 sisters, Linda Gayle Bowen, Dothan, Audrey Lee Marine, Cowarts, Teresa Jean Wrobel, Dothan, Dena Cheryl Hand, Kinsey, Judy Lorraine Brown, Kinsey; 2 brothers, Jackie Wayne Hand, Ozark and Tracy Paul Hand, Dothan; and 9 grandchildren.


Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
