Mr. Joseph Earl Walker of Dothan died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at his residence. He was 72.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


 


The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, April 16, 2012. The family request no flowers, but contributions made be made to one’s favorite charity.


 


Mr. Walker was born November 22, 1939, in Houston County, Alabama, the son of Joseph Tyler Walker and Bessie Enfinger Walker. He retired from Cannon Oil in 1986.


 


Survivors include his daughter, Wanda Walker Mathis, son, Chris Walker, sisters, Barbara Tew, Janice Tharp, brothers, Nolan Harrell, Jr., Marvin Kelley, Bobby Sailors, grandchildren, Michael Eldridge, Misty Eldridge, great-grandchildren, Tyshawn Allen, Martrez Allen, several nieces and nephews, extended brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, sister and brother-in-law, Jeretha and Johnny Fondren, brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Sandy Williams, brother-in-law, Russell Hardwick, sisters-in-law, Hazel and Ruth Williams, and Virginia Williams.


 


Pallbearers will be Michael Eldridge, Willie Chandler, Bill Hall, Johnny Brasewell, Chris Walker, and Thomas Eldridge.
