OZARK… Mr. Keith R. Tew, a resident of Ozark (formerly of the Texasville Community, Barbour County) , died late Friday morning, April 8, 2022, at his home. He was 60.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 11, 2022, in the Pine Level Baptist Church with his sister and brother-in-law officiating, Reverend’s Ronnie and Nina Benefield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the church.


            Mr. Tew, son of the late Joseph Wheeler Tew and Myrtle Lois Helms Tew, was a native of Blue Springs. He formerly lived in Columbus, Georgia for several years until returning to Barbour County in 2007. Mr. Tew moved to Ozark in 2021. He attended Friendly Assembly of God Church.


            Surviving relatives include his two sisters, Glenda Reyes, Scottsboro, AL and Nina Benefield (Ronnie), Texasville; three brothers, Sandy Tew, Rocky Head Community, Anthony Tew, Eufaula, and Joel Tew (Linda), Ozark; nieces and nephews, Jay Reyes (Leslie), Adam Reyes (Shana), Tera Benefield, Michael Benefield (Crystal), Amanda Fletcher (Glenn), Brandi Brandt (Logan), Kelsey Tew, Wes Tew, Logan Tew (Hannah), Austin Tew, Ashlyn Tew, Brittany Grubbs (Fred), Joshua Moseley (Rachel), and Joley Anderson (Ryan).


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Jay Reyes, Adam Reyes, Michael Benefield, Wes Tew, Logan Tew, and Austin Tew.
