Mr. Goodnight was born October 11, 1943 in Portland, Oregon to the late Bernard and Catherine Smith Goodnight. Kenneth was a 1962 graduate of Geneva County High School.  He joined the United States Army National Guard shortly after high school and served 12 years.  “Fuzzy”, as he was called by most because of his curly hair, started painting houses around age 15 until he retired in 2004.   Fuz was the Scout Master of Hartford Boy Scout Troop 32 for 29 years.  During this time, he helped 37 young men receive the coveted award of Eagle Scout.  Around the time of his retirement, he helped establish The Hartford Community Shop and The Hartford Art & History Museum.  He volunteered at the community shop for about 19 years.  Kenneth also enjoyed taking his family camping and to the lake for vacations throughout the years.  He served his town and community faithfully.  Fuzzy will be missed dearly by his family and all the many people he had an impact on throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, siblings: Ronnie Goodnight and Bonnie Smith preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Donna Goodnight; daughters: Teresa Hughes (Gene), Amy Warren (Steve), and Lisa Goodnight; grandchildren: Emily Shelley (Turner), Jeremy McCormick, Amber Warren, Shannon Phillips (Lance), and Shane Warren; great grandchildren: Ryker Shelley, Stephanie, Jaxon, Charlotte, and Sawyer Phillips, and Sean Warren; sister, Gloria Gaddy, brothers: Bobby Wayne Goodnight (Gina), and Bub Goodnight (Sandy); numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
