OZARK…. Mr. Larry March, Sr., a resident of Ozark, died Sunday afternoon, July 5, 2020 in a Dothan hospital. He was 67.


            Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 11, 2020 in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Hereford Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Rose Baptist Church Cemetery.  Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. COVID-19 Guidelines for social distancing and wearing of face masks will be enforced during all scheduled times.


            Mr. March was born July 22, 1952 in Ozark, Alabama and was a 1970 graduate of Carroll High School. He was retired from the Ozark Housing Authority as a maintenance technician. Mr. March was a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Skipperville. He was an avid University of Alabama supporter. Mr. March was preceded in death by his parents, Walter March and Rosa Lee Ramsey March; his son, Larry O. March, Jr. and his siblings, Nathan Ramsey and Annie Ruth Ramsey.


            Surviving relatives include his three daughters, Michelle Gissendanner (Eddie), Ozark; Sofia Savoy (Johnny), Tuscaloosa, and Kimberly Walton(Antonio), Ozark; his sister, Mary Curry (Berry), Ozark; two brothers, Robert Lee March, Dothan and Lewis March, Ozark; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; special friend, Mary Taylor, Ozark; supporting friends, Willie Charles Barrow, Michael Terry, and Willie Austin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives also survive.
