NEWTON…Mr. Larry “Bugo” Senn, a resident of Newton, died late Monday evening, December 11, 2023, in Dale Medical Center. He was 65.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dwayne Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Newton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Senn, son of the late Coylee Senn and Anniebell Watson Senn, was a lifelong resident of Newton. He was involved in construction work during his working years. Mr. Senn enjoyed hunting, fishing, eating lima beans and biscuits. He was the favorite uncle among his nieces and nephews. Mr. Senn was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Melvin Senn, sisters, Gloria Gene Sheffield and Ruth Ann Eastridge.


            Surviving relatives include his two sons, Matthew Buckner and Adam Senn; grandson, Matthew Lee Bucker, all from Dothan; his siblings, including his twin, Terry Senn (Vickie), Ozark, Coylee Senn (Sheila), Newton, Jerry Senn, Newton, Evelyn Scott (Cedrick), Newton, Sheila Glover, Newton, Shirley Andrews (Buddy), Pinckard, Ruby Senn, Newton, and Penny Childree (Willie), Ozark; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.


            Serving as active pallbearers Zackery Scott, Joseph Scott, Lee Roberts, Sherman Roberts, Jacob Senn, Austin Senn, Joe Roberts and Bradley Wood.
