Mr. Leon Virgil Beasley, a resident of Ozark, died Saturday, January 22, 2022, at his home at the age of 89.


Funeral services for Mr. Beasley will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Bobby Hataway and Reverend Tim Bates officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.


Mr. Beasley was born June 7, 1932 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Ira Virgil Beasley and Wilma Maggie Bryan Beasley. He worked in construction most of his life, with H. L. Bland for over thirty-four years as a Maintenance Supervisor.  Mr. Beasley loved shooting sports and fishing. He was an avid reader and loved to play dominoes.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Clyde, Robert and Luther; four sisters, Evelyn, Kathleen, Mary and Bill.


He is survived by three daughters, Karen Renee Crook (Jimmy) of Panama City, Phyllis Denise White (Marlin) of Elba, Stephanie Marie Eringman (John) of Robertsdale; three sons, Kelvin Dean Beasley (Tammy) of Ozark, Stephen Richard Beasley (Sandy) of Echo, Jeffrey Arnold Beasley of Ozark; one brother, Royce Beasley (June) of Ozark.   Thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild  and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Ridge Cemetery Fund, C/O Mr. Nelson Senn, 373 County Road 241, Ariton, Alabama  36311.
