Lester Wilkerson, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 10 , 2018  in Cottonwood, AL. He was born August 21, 1939 in Cedar Springs, GA.to  the late Alvin Wilkerson and Emma Wilkerson ( Chandler).

 

Lester was a resident of Mulberry, FL.for many years who worked over 50 years in the Phosphate Industry in Polk County, FL. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. Lester was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending his days outdoors. He was of the Baptist Faith.

 

Graveside Service: 1 :00 Pm,  Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery in Lithia, FL.

 

Besides his parents, Lester was preceded in death by a daughter: Karyn Houghton, brothers: Jr., and Gene Wilkerson; and sister: Dovie Teal.

 

Survivors: sons: David Wilkerson (GeDelle), and Daren Wilkerson; sisters; Martha Rodgers, Geraldine Hutto (Bruce),  brothers: William Wilkerson (Eva), Larry Wilkerson (Brenda); granddaughters: Kaylee Houghton, and Emily Houghton, and several nephews, nieces, cousins, and many other loving family members.
