Mr. Louis Galos, age 81, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday December 15, 2017 at the Noland Hospital with his loving, devoted wife by his side.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday December 18, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Allie Freeman and Dr. James B. Sanders III officiating.
The family will be receiving friends at the First United Methodist Church Parlor prior to services on Monday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions may be made to the In Christ Name Fund c/o First United Methodist Church, 1380 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, 36301 or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Mr. Galos was born on April 1, 1936 in Jersey City, New Jersey the son of John Nicholas and Angelina Paras Galiatsos. He was a 1954 graduate of Stamford High School in Connecticut and was a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Galos was retired as the Vice President of Sales with NTN Bearing Corp. after 35 years of service. He moved to Dothan from Chicago, Illinois in 2001. Mr. Galos served in the Army Reserve for 8 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dothan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Tina Koda.
Survivors include: wife, Dianne Moss Galos, Dothan; daughter, Robyn Morris Dean (Jackie), Dothan; brother, Nicholas Galiatsos (Ann), Stamford, CT; aunt, Patricia Coulson, Wilmington, NC; 4 grandchildren, Christian Dean (Onis), Jackson Dean, Collin Dean and Avery Dean; brother-in-law, Mike Koda, Blandon, PA; nieces & nephews, Nicole Smith (Jeff), Stamford, CT; Johnna Vitti (Frank), Sandy Hook, CT; Phil Koda (Kate), Stratford, CT; Mary Koda Sutton (Jim), Westerville, OH; and Jennifer Koda Link (Stuart), Patton, PA.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Progressors Sunday School Class from First United Methodist Church.
