Mr. Lynn David Lane of Enterprise passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016. He was 60.
Lynn was born May 4, 1956 in Knoxville, TN to the late Joe Marshall and Margaret “Dolly” Lane. He served his country in the United States Army. He was known as an awesome mechanic and he did charity work with the Alabama Highwaymen. Lynn was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, a hardcore Tennessee Volunteer football fan, and a Nascar enthusiast. He was employed briefly as a truck driver for Charlie Daniels Band. He was a grill master who loved the company of others and a cold beer while playing horseshoes. Most of all, he will be remembered as a family man whose love for his family and his grandchildren was abundant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jodi Lane and BamBam Lane.
Lynn is survived by his wife Leslie Kay Govoruhk Lane; daughters Kaylnn Lane (Erik Shallenberger) of Jack, AL and LaCausta Lane (Charles Hurst) of Strawberry Plains, TN; six sons, Scott Lane of Morristown, TN, Michael Govoruhk (Amanda) of Ft. Gordon, GA, Thomas Blaine (Kelli) of Ft. Bragg, NC, James Blaine (Julie) of Enterprise, AL, Nicholas Blaine (Kinsie) of Enterprise, AL and Mark McKinnon (Siobhan) Enterprise, AL; sisters, Karen Williams (Eddie) of Morristown, TN, Clara Sather of Sevierville, TN, Janie Harper (Dan Ogden) of Crawfordville, FL; brother, Ricky Lane (Mae) of Shorterville, AL; his grandchildren, Courtland Lane, Bryson and Jensen Blaine, Alec, Evan, and Liam Govoruhk, Emma and Lea Blaine, Kalani Lane, Karson Shallenberger, Nicholas, and Scarlett Blaine, and Katie Anne McKinnon; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Shorterville Baptist Church Cemetery, 896 Co Rd 65, Shorterville Al, 36373 with Pastor Doug Shumate officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses, at 811 Crawford Ave, Enterprise, Al 36330.
