   Mr. Marvin Percy “Marty” Franks, Jr., a resident of Ozark, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 69 years old.


   Funeral services for Mr. Franks will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 24, 2024, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow in Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until service time.


   Mr. Franks was born July 27, 1955 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Marvin Percy Franks, Sr. and Velma Jewel Free Franks. He graduated from G. W. Long High School in 1972 and worked in the construction business for many years. Marty was a member and Deacon of Post Oak Baptist Church and was active working with the youth and with the van ministry. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing.


   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Whitt and his brother, Henry Franks.


   Survivors include his wife, Beverly Stewart Franks of Ozark; two sons, Kevin Franks (Jamie) of Brewton and Kyle Franks (Jessi) of Ozark; five grandchildren, Kyleigh Franks, Avarie Franks, Braelynn Franks, Amelia Franks and Lillian Franks.


   Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4108 North Union Avenue, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
