Mr. Max Steven Spann of County Road 45, Hartford, Alabama passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013.  He was 58.


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 28, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Tommy Cumbie officiating.  Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery (Geneva Co. Rd. 41) with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 1 p.m. and continue until service time.


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Co. Rd. 41, Hartford, AL.


Max was born March 12, 1954, in Houston County, Alabama.  He was an independent cable contractor which allowed him to travel extensively.  Max was a very loving son and brother and will be greatly missed.  He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.


His father, Max Moore Spann preceded him in death.


Survivors include his mother and step-father, Betty Bottoms and husband Herbert; one daughter, Heather Enfinger, all of Hartford; two sisters: Jane Spann of Hartford and Lisa Ellenburg of Geneva; three grandchildren; four nephews; other extended family and friends.
