He came from humble beginnings and always understood the value of kindness and hard work. In 1962, he graduated from D.A. Smith High School and excelled in his studies. Throughout the years, he worked in railroad, construction, commercial driving and manufacturing industries.
On July 7, 1964 he married the late Carolyn Robinson in Quincy, Florida. This union gave him his three surviving daughters: Angie, Katrina, and Karen. He was also father to Roy Williams, Jewel Flowers and Regina Campbell. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to his numerous grandchildren including: Jacqualyn, Tremayne, Tristan, and special friend, Maurice “Reba” Hobdy.
Although he was preceded in death by his daughters: Cassandra, Pearl, and Dorothy as well as his granddaughter, Maria; he leaves behind a host of loving family members and friends.
He loved serving the Lord, attending church faithfully, spending quality time with family, fishing, carpentry and auto mechanic work, as well as watching television sitcoms.
The family thanks his many faithful nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, friends, kind neighbors of the Ozark community, and the exceptional staff at SAMC Hospital and Oakview Manor Nursing Home.
