OZARK…Michael L. Flowers, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023, in Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery. He was 74.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 1, 2023, in the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Freddie Turner officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will follow in Post Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Flowers, son of the late Lewis Wayne Flowers and Helen Marie Dikes Flowers, was a native of Tacoma, Washington and moved to Ozark in 1972. He was veteran of the United States Navy, having served in Vietnam aboard the USS Kittyhawk. Mr. Flowers was an excellent automobile mechanic and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Flowers and a sister, Jane L. Flowers.
Surviving relatives include his daughters, Jessica Flowers-Augerot, Ozark, Rachel Senn (Kermit), Ariton, and Laura Williams (David); three sons, Wayne Johnson, Panama City, Florida, Raymond Johnson (Sherrie), Taylor, and Timothy Johnson (Angel), Ozark; grandchildren, Dustin Thrasher, Michael Johnson, Todd Miller, Jasmine Augerot, Phillip Augerot, Kahleesie Augerot, Emily Augerot, Kelly Williams, David Williams, Anna Senn, and Lexie Senn; great-grandchildren, Ella Mae Johnson, Stacie Thrasher, Katie Beth Thrasher, Robbie Johnson, Austin Johnson, Brieghlynn Williams, Waylon Shoyer, Kinsley Shoyer, Amber Nicole Miller, and Maddox Shoyer.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Robbie Warren, Dustin Thrasher, Michael Johnson, James Tager, Timothy Johnson, and Robbie Johnson
