Michael Paul Wynn, a cherished husband, father, and friend, passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on September 13, 1955, in Dothan, Alabama, Mike's life was marked by his loving nature and kind spirit.

He is predeceased by his parents, Jack Wynn and Anna Napier Wynn, and his sister, Sharon Wynn Larimore. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Janice Laseter Wynn; a son, Jamie Wynn (Amy) and a daughter, Kelli Wynn Cundith; a sister, Jackie Wynn Mobley (Robert); grandchildren, Chase White, Gabe White, and Mckenzie Wynn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mike retired from Sony after 32 years as a machinist. After retirement, he founded JMW Landscaping and continued working for many years. Mike’s life was highlighted by his love for family, friends, and sports. He was always there to support his children and grandchildren in all of their activities. Among many other things, he coached baseball teams, shopped for pageant dresses and helped his wife through nursing school.

He joined his friends daily at Ray’s Restaurant, where he was a member of the esteemed “Table of Knowledge”. Major topics of discussion were football, politics, and solving the world’s problems. He was also known for his love of football and the Alabama Crimson Tide. For over twenty years, he had several best friends, Allen Wright, Jason Wright, and Allan Williams (aka The Boys Club) attended games in Tuscaloosa.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ricky Plummer officiating. Flowers and memorial contributions to the Southeast Health Foundation are both welcome.
