Mickey Wayne Holland, 63, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Jodi Haddan officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Enon Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites by Jamie Smith with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2014 at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all his caregivers and Gentiva Hospice.
Born in Houston County, Alabama, Mickey was a son of the late Hubert and Luverne Sims Holland. Mr. Holland was a 1969 graduate of Cottonwood High School and worked as a Pipefitter/Welder with Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local # 52. He was a member of the Ashford Masonic Lodge # 493 and an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Fan. He attended Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Holland was preceded in death by a brother, Doyle Holland.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra A. Enfinger Holland, Dothan, Alabama; two daughters, Theresa (Andy) Vinson, Dothan, Alabama, and Wendy Marie (Michael) Kennedy, Phenix City, Alabama: a beloved nephew, David (Lori) Littlejohn, Washington, DC; a brother, Bob Holland, Dothan, Alabama; grandchildren, Drew Vinson, David Kennedy, Heather Kennedy, Lexi Littlejohn, Keira Littlejohn, and Slater Toole. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.
