   Mr. Millard Clarence Gardner, a resident of Ozark, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023. He was 86 years old.


   Funeral services for Mr. Gardner will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Joey Turman and Reverend Adam Carlee officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.


   Mr. Gardner was born July 3, 1936 in Barbour County, Alabama to the late Lonnie Gardner and Leola Evans Gardner. He grew up in Dale County. Mr. Gardner served in the United States Army 11th Airborne with the paratroopers. He worked for many years as a driver for Gordon Transport prior to working with AMX Transport until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and Alabama football fan.


   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Louise Judah Gardner;one granddaughter, Jennifer McManis; one sister and six brothers. Survivors include his children, Millard Timothy Gardner (Beth), Khadejah “Lynn” Gardner, and Rita Rebecca Gardner; grandchildren, Madison Price, Blake Engelman (Blaire), Hannah Morris (Michael), Sarah Hernandez (Roberto), Katherine Hakeem (Abdallah), Steven Burdell, Trent Gardner (Hannah); thirteen great grandchildren.


   Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his memory to American Legion, 411 Williams Drive, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
