Mr. Myron James Brown of Daleville passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at his residence. He was 91.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Haley Enfinger officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Monday, October 10, 2016. Flowers will be accepted.
Mr. Brown was born January 17, 1925 in Geneva County Alabama to the late Gus Henry Brown and Flora Elizabeth McCaskill Brown.Mr. Brown was a charter member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Fadette. He attended Daleville Methodist Church. He grew up farming, raising pigs, quail and dove. He also enjoyed fishing and was a fan of Alabama Football and the Atlanta Braves. He served his country as a 1st Class Signalman in the Navy in World War II.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Martha Brown, and sisters Flora Brown, Kathleen Robinson, and Mary Grace McCain.
Survivors include daughters Cindy Jones, Deborah Austin (Mark), sons Gary Brown (Dawn), Tony Almond (Sandy), sister Bessie Bacon, grandchildren Mike Thomas, Crystal Coulter, David Sumner, April Kleinmann, Telisha Sumner, Presley Almond, Trey Morris, 13 great-grandchildren, special nephews Skip Joiner, Steve Joiner, Rad Robinson and other relatives and friends.
